Soft daylight caressed his face. Only the sounds of the calm day were reaching his ears. His eyelids flattered a little and barely opened. He winced by the sharp pain in his scull. What had happened to him? WheThe Tears of an Assassin (Part 2) by ~katerinaaqu
The Tears of an Assassin
“Aaargh!”
A red-haired man let out another cry and his long sword clanged with his opponent’s sword. He twisted around himself and then the sword he was holding cut through his opponent, cutting flesh, bone and muscle like butter. Red, hot blood flowed out of the wound like a fountain and the man fell to the ground letting his last breath out. The red-haired assassin’s muscles relaxed and he looked down at his dead opponent. His eyes were showing no emotion outside, but inside them there was a deep sadness. The day was a warm, spring day. The old man looked around the room, the girl he found was still unconscious. He managed to stop the bleeding and sewed up the wound. There was just one problem.

He didn't have any bandages and was running low on medicines.

The old man opened the window a little, since it was too hot in the house.

"I'll be back." He said to the girl knowing she couldn't hear him.

Slipping on his winter coat and straw hat, he locked the door.

A few snowflakes landed on Tomoe's porcelain skin from the cracked window.

I stirred in my dark world of dreamless slumber. The smell of smoke tickled my nose. Was someone cooking something? I was laying down on a soft bed, but the sheets were soaked with something wet with a sour smell. A sharp pain from my back jolted me awake. Groaning, I slowly opened my eyes when the pain subsided.
They adjusted to the darkness in the room. Goosebumps crawled up and down my legs and arms through the white kimono I wore. Who dressed me? "Ah!" I cried clutching my head, it ached as if someone banged it repeatedly into a wall.

Blood trickled down my left ear. I wiped Ruroni Kenshin: The legend of Yuki Onna by ~Snowflower--Chan00

How come I haven't seen any more Rurouni Kenshin fan art lately? The reboot of the story came out just recently and I've yet to see fan art. I thought with the new movie and reboot of the manga I'd see fan art coming out. Anyways, I do hope someone does. ^^
